Welcome To Glenburn Methodist Church

We are a Church striving to be at the heart of our community bringing the love and peace of Jesus to all. We are always glad to welcome visitors to our services or events. Why not try our ‘Open Door’ on a Thursday morning and as John, our Minister, says, ‘have a wee cup of Tea or Coffee’.  You can also check out our recent activities and events on our Facebook page by clicking on the ‘f’ in the top right corner above.

On Friday 16th March at 7.30pm we will be having an Irish Night, with special guests and compere.

Tickets are £10.00 including supper.  Contact can be made through this website or our Facebook page as referred to above.

  • We are privileged to have John Mbayo as our minister. Originally from Zambia he is married to Karen and has two children, Joshua and Abigail. He knows NI well being married to a local girl and having worked in Helens Bay, Cullybackey and Dundonald. In addition to his ministry in Glenburn, John and Karen are committed to their ISAKA (meaning community and understanding) charity in Zambia. It is directed towards the provision of primary and secondary schools, a health clinic and a vocational skills training centre in an area of need in Zambia.
  • Prayer is a rewarding and life enhancing conversation with God. But at times it can be difficult. You can feel isolated from others, running out of things to say and getting distracted.

Jesus encouraged his followers to pray regularly and discipline is needed to accomplish that. Daily prayers help by developing a habit.
